I thought it might be a good idea to compile a list of where everyone lives, that way if people were looking for a game, they could know how many people/who lives near them. So post with where you live, and I'll update this post... oh, and no, you can't win anything...

Haha well actually i'm huge on references. In fact for all of you who have chapter one I challenge you to see if you can find all the references left in that chapter alone ;)

the main Broken Doll crew is actually about to suspend until the winter after next session or so, as I will be on a 25-state promotional tour for the next few months, but I have been considering getting another crew in Denton started up in addition to the core folks. I've got a few people around town who are interested, but it may be a while before I cna get a group going. Hopefully I may even sell some books this fall when the town population increases ;) so hopefully there will be more players in town soon.

austinmonster
6th August 2006, 06:25 PM
well, I'm gonna book down to hastings this afternoon and pick one up. I can say I was seriously impressed. Seriously.

More so than I've been in a a book in quite some time.

Well, if any of you really wanna add a new player to your crew in the meantime, send me an email. austinmonster@gmail.com.

I consider myself so <smile> this is a really kickass town.

I've always had trouble finding RPers around here though. Perhaps it's because I'm a total damm hermit who scares children. well, not INTENTIONALY mind you, but it allways just ends up that way.

I can't wait to meet this group. I know how I felt when I saw this book at hastings the other day "wow! what a kickass game! Shame I'll never find anyone to play it with" HA!

Uh oh.. If we start introducing ourselves to the general public, we'll lose all of the mystery that still allows us to front like we're cool. I'm afraid we're going to be exposed for the nerds we are! NOOOOOoooOOOOoooOOoooOOOoo...

Damnit... I ran out of o's... Stupid refrigerator magnets...

Hey, at least it's not Shady Shores, where you have crazy old ladies as you mayor... (That's near denton btw, no one seems to be aware of that...)

Oddly enough I setup the network for the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce a while back and I still troubleshoot problems for them fairly often.

Shady Shores is quite close to here. If I can ever get time one of these days you guys should come out to Denton and hang out. Maybe we could all meet and grab a beer or something.

What happened to Tri-Games? My folks told me they went by there one day looking for a copy of the Descent board game and they were all closed up. Seemed like a good store. Enigmas still seems to be open, but I never got a hold of their owner to carry the book.

I know retail gaming stores come and go like the wind, but it still bugs me when they shut down. After all, Tri-Games was actually my first tour location.

The manager (Joy) had gone in for two or three surgeries and was under ALOT of medication which didn't mix so well with the medication already prescribed to her by her psychaitrist(?). Which ended up with her extremely out of it but the majority holder (J.R.) was busy doing summer school because it payed well and so Joy ended up tanking the store because she ordered too many board games that did not have too high a mark up and moved too slow. Hell we managed to sell all the CoE copies that were in the store and she still didn't order more.
Anyway they've fied for bankruptcy mostly cus the books were so screwed.

BTW did you hit up Midnight or Bedrock Comics? For some reason here in houston straight up game stores rise and fall so the comic shops tend to carry RPGs.

The_Q
8th February 2008, 08:27 PM
That is very true. At the moment, fothecause and myself are planning on a CoE campaign that seems pretty interesting. We'll see how it goes, it's being planned out for 4 players, but may be expanded to five or even six. Once we reach the end of the game, we'll post the results. Hell, if people like it, we may have to write it up and send it to a couple of people so they can run it (one of them being Ashe).

Oh, I live in Houston, near fothecause, that way, this post doesn't count as being in the wrong spot.

If anyone is in houston, leave a message, we'll grab some drinks and discuss rpg's.

*raises hand* Fort worth, Texas area over there. Little town called Hurst to be exact. If by some rare chance, someone else lives in the area, give me a holler, I know quite a few people who would give their left arm for some new blood in their RP group (especially since our local comic/anime shop closde down a few months back, and we nerds have nowhere to hang except at school (community college FTW)).

Or I could just hit some of you Denton guys next time I go up there and we can all go to the Tomato...no wait....we can't, IT'S GONE D: *cries*
