Honestly, we should have had everything ready for a few days ago, but with random work schedules and random unscheduled events...yea...expect a whole new CoE campaign setting by "hopefully" the end of the month.

This is nothing like you've seen before.

Later!

At the end of the age known as the First Hour, a giant stone made of Fire and Darkness broke through the heavens and crashed onto the world, slaying the ancient race of Dragon Kings and tore a wound into Maya's Matrix; causing Ether to saturate existence. Clawing forth from the crater made with the remains of carrion and astral dust, a new race emerged with bodies formed fire and armors of charred bones, stone, and hate. The Black Blood of Maya coursed through their veins, powering the eerie blue flames that were encased in the exo-skeletal armors. They named themselves "Sons of Fire" and underneath a black sky where sunlight barely passed to the blighted lands of Maya, these towering giants flourished by carving a civilization of ire and steel.

Located in the graveyard of Atlantis, these aberrations to Maya's calm reality lasted for many a decades. The sun's rays ne'er touched the land, thus their existence was uninterrupted. But unfortunately for the Sons of Fire, other beings had plans for Maya, and they were not part of said plans.

In places where the spewed Ether grew dense, ephemeral beings began to grow, lasting some but a few minutes to those who lasted for days at a time. It wasn't until they discovered how to maintain a grasp to their fleeting reality that they fancied in calling themselves Gods. They saw the destruction of Maya brought forth constantly by the alien race, and grew upset with them and their disregard for the mortal races of Maya. These Gods set out to clear the skies, exterminating and forcing the surviving Sons of Fire into a state of eternal hibernation when the barren continent of Atlantis was forced to submerge into the depths of the Sea of Oblivion. This was caused by the control station the giants had installed in the Lanka Archipelago, the main control point being located in the biggest island of said group, carrying the namesake Lanka.

Locked deep within the ancient depths of the black sea, the Sons of Fire and their leader, Ul-Shattan, pursued a way to regain the empire that they once had. Even in the depths of the sea, their fire would not extinguish. Their hate for Maya and her self-proclaimed Gods were not enough to make them forget of the humiliation they had suffered unexpectedly.

So they formulated a plan and waited.

And they waited for countless years. They saw the Gods play with the weak races that had inhabited Maya before their arrival. They saw them create and destroy many more in a whim until they settled for a simple humanoid look, some they called Asana-Lea, some Oraki, and others Lirie-kana. Ul-Shattan found the latter the most easily corruptible, and planned some more. A century later, a strange rift brought forth a new addition to the budding races of mortals. The Silana.

Ul-Shattan was a patient being. He waited for his opportunity. Patience is a Virtue, and with it, it brings rewards.

Several of the Gods grew lazy and created lesser versions of themselves to delegate menial tasks. Whilst some kept the title as God of Fire, Creator of Storms, Bringer of Death, and Giver of Life; many other lesser beings were given the titles of "He who directs the light of the Stars" and "He who controls the Shadows of Beings that walk". The latter lesser being was named Ravana.

And Ul-Shattan smiled for the first time in many a century.

"Greetings...God of Shadows of Beings that Walk..." came an ominous voice that thundered with the power of a thousand thunderstorms. Ravana looked around, staring wide eyed as his orbs fell on a giant made of stone and fire. The blue giant towered a good two bodies over him. "...I believe that introductions are in order..."

The aberration impaled his hand unto the grounds and created a bulwark of stone and roots. He laid underneath and covered himself from the sun's demonic rays. The blue flames that acted as his eyes flickered joyfully amongst the shadows, leaving his eye sockets and played in the cool breeze that passed by.

Ravana stared in awe and terror. He had heard of the ancient beings that lived underneath the waters of the Black Sea, yet he knew that they couldn't survive in natural sunlight!

"I am Ul-Shattan, leader of the Sons of Fire...and I come to you with a proposal..." His empty eye sockets glowed an eerie blue. No flames would come from there and Ravana felt like his very existence was being destroyed by looking in his lifeless eyes. "...i can see that you are not very happy with the title and powers you have received..." Ul-Shattan reached into his armor and pulled a parchment that was rolled up and was closed securely by a ring made of red flames. "...this is my research on how to create a better being...one that will be under your total control, no sense of free will...if you can meet the conditions that I have placed inside this parchment..." A wicked smile formed on his face. Ravana was intrigued, so he dared ask the unthinkable.

"What's in it for you...?" He spoke as he greedily stared at the piece of rolled up paper in the giant's hand.

"Camaraderie..." The being responded. "...I wish for me and my people to leave the damned depths that your elders have confined us to. In exchange for our freedom, we will give you power..."

The deal was sealed in blood.

Black Blood and White Blood. The evil blood of the Sons of Fire died the contract that held the agreement in black, whereas the now tainted blood of the once "God of Shadows of Beings that Walk", sealed his side of the contract in white.

Chaos ensued a few months later, as waves and waves of beings called Rakshasa started invading Maya's Reality and wrecked havoc across the land. Many a Gods died to this new plague, for they knew not how they were able to bypass the sacred ties that made them who they were.

Ravana had died the moment the beings came to existence. Yet, a being with a close resemblance to him appeared by the name of Bala.
