Dear Convention Coordinator,
My name is Dean Dryer. I am the Gaming Director for Necronomicon ’09, which will take place October 23-25, 2009 at the Hilton Bayfront in St. Petersburg, Florida. Necronomicon is Central Florida’s oldest and largest sci-fi/fantasy/horror convention. This will be our 27th year and we are expecting our total attendance to be 800-1000 people. We are an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization, benefiting Kids & Canines of Tampa Bay.
Gaming is one of our main activities at Necro. Our goal is to hold the widest variety of gaming events for our guests and support the hobby in our area. To accomplish this, we would like to ask your company to help us with prize support for our gaming events, promotional material for our freebie table, and charity donations for our auctions, raffles, and yard sales.
In exchange for $75 wholesale value of product, we can provide your company with a full page ad in our gaming program book. The ad would need to be 5.5” X 8.5”, in black and white, and in .jpg, .pdf, or camera ready format. The ad would also need to be in our hands by Sept. 25 in order to make our printing deadline.
All support packages should be sent to:
Necronomicon Gaming
4815 Allen Way
Tampa, Fl 33610
We also gratefully accept donations for our charity, Kids & Canines of Tampa Bay (www.kidsandcanines.org). Kids & Canines teaches “at risk” high school students to train service dogs for the disabled. Their administration costs are covered by other financing, so 100% of any donation you choose to make would go directly to support the students and animals. Even if you choose not to send any prize support or charity donations, we will be happy to distribute any promotional material you wish to send.
You can check out our convention website at www.stonehill.org/necro.htm and our gaming site at www/rjritchie.com/necro/index.htm. Our schedule is currently under development. Our GM’s will continue to schedule their games until our Sept.20 deadline, so if you don’t see one of your company’s products on our schedule, it may be soon. Upon request, we will also match your game with one of our GM’s (we currently have 275+ area GM’s on our mailing list) and get it on our schedule for the convention.
Thank you in advance for your support. If you have any other questions, please feel free to return email me (gaming@stonehill.org), or call my cell at (813)391-5685.
Sincerely,
Dean Dryer
