Just for fun tonight I did a bit of discussion on the basics of designing and running a zombie horror campaign using Seven13. It's up on the rants page in gaming rants:

Enjoy. Discuss. Add to it.

In retrospect... don't play zombie campaigns... they're just too depressing ;)

I think that's why the twins work well for the campaign. Though I think church is turning this one into a good old-fasioned last days bit

Oh let's have some fun, shall we?

For those interested, our current campaign is being run in Detroit. Our characters, not only dealing with hordes of the undead, flying monstrosities, a virtually endless downpour and Day After Tomorrow-like weather patterns... but they're also identical twins dealing with puberty.

It's scary how well we work together as immature and narrow-minded brothers (actually, I'm not that surprised... it does make things a wee bit more comical, however)

Our initial character design was to recreate the Frog Brothers from the classic vampire flick, The Lost Boys (Corey Haim and Corey Feldman). But in game play, the two turned out to be less of the movie fanatics (although we do make timely quotes) and more of the local mischief makers of the town... well.. you know.. up until everybody died and in turn tried to kill us.

Mmmnnn... zombies. Nothing like the walking dead to make one's life interesting.

Do tell us how the good fight goes.

Zombie campaigns may be interesting, but like Felix says, the whole thing seems really depressing.
