I like the coloring on this Vex, it's subtle - not overpowering, it lends itself to the original well. I also like the blowup in the background. Good stuff man

You did that on a tablet? Nice job... it looks like you did a professional job with colored pencils (the textures).

You did that on a tablet? umm... what? No, I don't think you read the comment closely enough. Shaun did it for the book. I just made it more purpler. n.n (and added the other colours too...)

Even if I had a tablet, if I had made it, it would radiate suckyness. :lol:

And the texture looks cool because he rendered the black and white version with pencil. I put a colour layer overtop of that in photoshop. So it practically is a professional job with coloured pencils.

You should have seen the difference in how 3d it looked after I took the dodge tool to the highlights though. I was actually shocked when I compared the two.

This is why I need a tablet: I can't use my own lineart because it's scanned (which wouldn't be all that bad if I wasn't so dreadfully terrible with pose :cry: ) So instead of getting lineart and rendering practice (which I need) I steal cool pictures like this and get colour practice (which I don't need)

What no-one realises is that I do this constantly, though this is only the second one I've uploaded. You should see the other nine versions of this picture I have :lol:

Oh, and if I ask permission (if), that doesn't happen until I'm at least 90% done. I know, it's a bad habit and I'm sortof trying (not very hard) to break it.
