So Cassie and I just got done watching The Descent, this horror flick about six girls who get trapped in a cave. I won't tell you anymore about it than that, because I didn't know much of anything and I didn't honestly expect much. All I'll say is see this friggin' movie. See it now. Watch it in the dark. 'Cause I gotta tell you, it's a hell of a ride.

I'm going to round up all of the shitty movies I own and.. instead of trading them in... I'm giving them to you for whatever pagan holiday is up and coming. You'll LOVE them!

Nah.. The Descent wasn't bad... but you're still the only person I know who actually liked Tokyo Drift.

At least we'll always hate Covenant and always love Gladiator.

Oh yeah.. and you'd like Stay Alive also. I personally couldn't stop bitching about bad CG... but October's hot and has a cool name if nothing else. Oh... and the background premise is pretty cool. (the classic legend, not the actual way they portrayed it in the game). So like so many other things in our lives... it was a good idea... in theory.

hey hey be fair i didn't like Tokyo Drift as a movie, i could have done without the entire plot (not that there really was one) and the lack of acting. I went to see badass drift-driving stunts and therefore I got what i paid for. If they were smart, they'd take all of the F&F movies and just make a DVD of nothing but the driving scenes.

I'd actually probably also agree with you on bad CG (though I haven't seen Stay Alive). I think one of the things that impressed me about the Descent was its totl lack of CG and use of classical horror makeup and gore. I think far too many moviemakers these days forget that it might look all pretty and fantastical when you render your villain for a few weeks on a mac, but you'll still never be quite up there with Tim Curry in 150 pounds of latex standing 9ft tall from Legend. Props to antagonists played by guys in prosthetic suits that we'll never see.
